Tidying Up the Church Building

It's a great opportunity when we get the chance to clean the church building. It allows us to help the Lord welcome people into church. Things like that, you should know, come with a big helping of blessings, as well as a deeper understanding and love for people outside your immediate view.

Ever wondered, when you look outside sometimes and see someone walking, why you don't see them at church? Ever wonder why it sometimes is an entire group of people? I can't tell you just how many times I've seen people like that - people I never see at church. People with different customs, appearances, tattoos, hair, what have you. Why don't we see them? Even when some people wouldn't want to come no matter what, in an entire group of people... do we really think not a single one would want to partake of the blessings of the gospel? Do we really think not a single one is capable of feeling the spirit, and visiting and learning of truths deeper than anything else?
Isn't it our job to be open, to not be judgemental, following Christ's example? Who was it that said, if the church smells like Alcohol and Cigarettes, you're doing something right? Do we exemplify that, do we truly live that?
Maybe helping God by keeping our church building clean and tidy, maybe that might be just a small piece of what we need to let people feel welcome here.

Have a wonderful day, and I hope that many blessings come your way!
Oh, and of course, we always have Pizza afterward... so don't miss! There's just one more this month as of writing this post... and that's tomorrow night, 6:30 PM!
